How we cover AI tools

TeckJB is a guide to AI tools. Our job is to help you choose the right one, understand what it really costs, and use it without handing your data away. Here is how we put a page together — and what we will never do.

How we research a tool

  • We start from the source. What a tool does, its pricing model, and its data policy come from the vendor’s own documentation, which we link so you can check it yourself.
  • We add hands-on notes where we have them. When we have genuinely used a tool, we say so and mark it clearly. When we haven’t, we don’t pretend we have.
  • We date everything. AI tools change monthly. Every page shows when it was last reviewed, and for anything time-sensitive — prices, limits, policies — we point you to the official page for the current figure.

What we focus on

  • Fit — what a tool is genuinely good for, and where it isn’t the right choice.
  • Cost — how the pricing model works and what usually changes past the free tier (check the official page for exact rates).
  • Data handling — the questions that decide whether a tool is safe for client or company work: does it train on your inputs, how long are they kept, where are they processed. We point you to the vendor’s policy for the answer and explain what to look for.

What we will never do

  • Claim we tested something we didn’t.
  • Invent prices, benchmarks, or scores.
  • Rank tools by affiliate commission, or take payment to change what a page says.

Independent hands-on testing is something we’re building toward, tool by tool. Where a page is based on public documentation rather than our own extended use, it says so plainly.
